Wichita Information....

Having grown up in Wichita and attended it's schools, churches and community events I know firsthand that it is a great place to live!

Wichita is unofficially divided into East Wichita and West Wichita with areas South and North as well.   The majority of growth and housing is continuing to move to the East and West.  One reason for this is the desirable school districts in the towns of Andover (to the East) and Maize (to the West).   Families looking for great schools and affordable housing have created a demand in these areas and homes continue to appreciate well in these neighborhoods.  There is also a thriving Downtown with the popular area of Old Town which features bars, restaurants and shopping all within walking distance of each other.   Another housing option for urban dwellers are the variety of Lofts you can find.

EAST WICHITA-  With an abundance of shopping and dining options, as well as places of worship and close proximity to major employers, East Wichita is a good choice for many families.   The Northeast branch of the YMCA is a also a popular place with sports teams and classes for the kids.   Then there is Bradley Fair for great shopping, dining and outdoor concerts.   The Waterfront has high-end shopping and delicious dining.   Neighborhood choices are varied.   Here is just a sample....

• College Hill-If turn of the century homes with character nestled on tree lines streets are your idea of home then College Hill is for you!  You can find a Kansas Real Estate "fixer-upper" in this area or a totally remodeled gem.   Homes range in price from $100,000 to $350,000.   This neighborhood is in the Wichita school district but is close to several great Private school options.

• Crestview and Willowbend-Enjoy Kansas Real Estate life on the golf course in these two great East side neighborhoods.   Each feature many amenities including lakes, pools and walking paths.   Homes in Willowbend range from $250,000 to $450,000 and are in the Wichita school district.   Private schools are close and another great option for families.   Homes in Crestview are in the desirable Andover school district.  Crestview homes range in price from $400,000 to $1,000,000.

• Andover-Andover is a town in it's own right just East of Wichita and prime Kansas Real Estate. The City of Wichita has grown such that it practically runs right into Andover.   Andover has a desirable school district and it's boundaries encompass some of East Wichita.   Therefore, if you are interested in Andover schools your home search would also include some homes in far East Wichita.    Most of these neighborhoods in the Andover school district are new suburban developments and there are still a lot of brand new homes being built in this area.   Because of the large variety of homes and subdivision in this area prices can range from $115,000 all the way up to 1 million.   Just about any price range can be acommodated.
